Army Transition Research Project

Seeking Ex-Army Personnel Who Have Resigned in the Last Five Years and Have Engaged in a Search for Civilian Employment

The Department of Defence is funding a research project through RMIT University, Melbourne, to examine the experiences of ex-army personnel in seeking civilian employment.

The purpose of the research is the following: identify the problems and barriers to getting jobs; identify those skills, experiences and resources that were important in accessing a job; indicate what resources, programs, training would be useful in supporting ex-army personnel in their job search.

What is involved if you participate?

Participating in a semi structured interview that will last around 30 – 45 minutes. The interview can be face to face (at a public location convenient to you) or via telephone/skype. You will not be directly or indirectly identified in any subsequent report. Your anonymity is guaranteed.
