RSL SA would like to thank the following groups/associations for their continued support
RSL Care SA provides accommodation, personalised care and support for the benefit of the ex-service and wider community of South Australia.
RSL Care SA believes that the ex-service community deserves the best care and affordable accommodation. RSL Care SA is an independently constituted not for profit organisation in partnership with the Returned & Services League of Australia (SA Branch).
Our mission is to support veterans and their families. Although the ex-service community are our primary client group, it is not exclusively so. The services and facilities are also available to the broader community.
Veterans SA and the Veterans Advisory Council (VAC) were established in April 2008 to provide support to the Minister for Veterans Affairs and the veteran community.
We support the special needs of the veteran community resulting from the unique nature of military service. Veterans SA also:
- promotes the wellbeing of all members of the veteran community in South Australia
- encourages co-operation across all ex-service organisations in South Australia
- provides a forum for the veteran community to communicate directly to the highest levels of state government through the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs (the Minister)
- monitors and provides advice about matters relating to recognition and commemoration of the service of veterans.
Veterans SA recently launched a new website for the Centenary of WW1:
The Trojan’s Trek Foundation has been operating successfully for several years.
The program provides the setting and conditions under which participants will experience a lasting positive shift in personal values and interpersonal relationships designed to improve lifestyle and community involvement.
The venture utilises the experience of veterans added to civilian expertise to provide high impact advice which is designed to improve social interaction and contribute to a healthy life style. The program was independently evaluated in 2013/14 establishing new benchmarks for peer support.
The concept of peer support is recognised and utilised in other countries; namely the USA, Canada and the UK.
Trojan’s Trek announced a partnership with RSL-SA in 2014.
