Far East Strategic Reserve Memorial

The Far East Strategic Reserve was the name attributed to the Australian navy, army and air force units and other Commonwealth forces engaged in South East Asia conflicts – Malayan Emergency 1955-1960; Indonesian Confrontation 1962-1966 and further unrest to 1971.

The FESR War Memorial Foundation plans to establish a national memorial in the grounds of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra to remind us of these conflicts and to remember the casualties and those who served.

Hundreds of thousand of dollars are needed to complete the project, commencing with $60,000.00 for a Memorandum of Understanding. For information and to make a donation http://fesrmemorial.org.au/index.html
