BEQUESTS & GIFTS

Since 1915 the RSL has supported servicewomen, servicemen and their families with assistance with in-service and after-service entitlements, lifestyle and employment programs, working for their well-being interests. Generations of Australian veterans still have ongoing issues from their military service and the RSL provides them with ongoing support. To do this the RSL needs veteran and public support for its charities.

You can play a part in this by donating now or making a bequest gift in your will. We will be happy to speak with you about this and offer options that suit you and explain how your contribution will assist RSL to offer services to veterans and their families well into the future. Our nation will not run out of service-people needing the RSL by their side.

A bequest can be put in place as easy as adding a codicil to your will to direct an amount or percentage of your estate to the RSL for veterans‘ services. Example: “I give, devise and bequeath, free of all duties and taxes, __% of my estate or $ ____ to the RSL (SA) Branch Inc, Anzac Remembrance Appeal – 1965 Trust Fund Inc (ABN 77 184 885 894) for its veterans’ services program. An authorised receipt from RSL SA will be a sufficient discharge for the executor(s) or trustee without seeing to the final distribution of the funds.”

RSL SA will also consider bequests of freehold property/interest in property, rights to commissions and royalties of intellectual property.
