The RSL Veterans’ Employment Program has received grant funding from the Australian Government and is free to access. You do not need to be a member of the RSL for us to help you.

Our specialist coaches offer free career transition and navigation, job-seeking assistance and training services.
They know how to translate military skills and experience for a civilian career and our tailored program gives you a competitive edge.

  • CAREER NAVIGATION

    Support to translate your skills for the civilian labour market and identify the steps that need to be taken to forge a new path.

  • CAREER COACHING

    Assistance with resumes and cover letters. Coaching to strategise for job interviews and practise interview skills.

  • CONNECTIONS TO EMPLOYERS

    Offering connections with employers that appreciate the unique combination of qualifications, skills, training and experience veterans have to offer.

Who do we help?

  • Veterans

    If you served at least one full day in the Australian Defence Force we can help you. It doesn’t matter how long ago you served.

  • Couple

    Partners & Immediate family members

    This free program is available to partners and immediate family members of veterans and current ADF personnel, including partners and immediate family members of deceased veterans.

  • Reservists

    If you have served at least one full day in the Australian Defence Force as a reservist, we can help you.

Why is RSL offering this program?

RSL Australia is the nation’s largest Ex-Service Organisation supporting veterans and their families for over 100 years. We have over a 1000 branches across Australia offering support services. The RSL Veterans’ Employment Program is one of the support services we offer.

 

Do I need to be a member of the RSL to enrol in the Program?

No, you do not need to be an RSL member to enrol in the Program.

 

How much does the Program cost?

It’s free! The RSL is a self-funded program that provides career transition services for veterans, their partners, and their immediate family members. If there is a cost involved in obtaining suggested qualifications, an assessment will be undertaken to determine if any costs can be covered the program.

How does it work?

Once you complete the application form we will contact you to complete an initial assessment, discuss your career aspirations and location choices, and determine your eligibility for the Program.  Once approved for the program, our team will confirm the services you will receive, tailored to your unique career journey. Once employment has been secured, we will keep in touch with you to support your career progression.
