The Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide was established on 8 July 2021. Under the Letters Patent, the Royal Commissioners were initially required to produce an interim report by 11 August 2022 and a final report by 15 June 2023. The interim report was tabled on August 11th 2022 and is available here bit.ly/3zKTkNb. In April 2022 the Chair of the Commission announced a 12-month extension of the inquiry as vital to thoroughly investigate the complex factors that contribute to deaths by suicide.
