RSL SA State Conference 2/7/22

The Annual RSL SA Sub-Branch Conference was held in the Torrens Training Depot Drill Hall at the Torrens Parade Ground on Saturday 2nd July 2022. Band members of the 10/27 RSAR played the Vice Regal Salute upon the Governor’s arrival and Musician Michael Bampton sounded the bugle calls during the Remembrance Ceremony.

The Governor and Mr Bunten, invited guests and Sub-Branch delegates made up the audience. As the RSL SA patron, Her Excellency was presented with Honorary Life Membership, after opening the conference. The audience was welcomed by State President Cheryl Cates and addresses were delivered by Geoff Brock MP (SA Minister for Veterans Affairs), Ms Leonie Nowland (Open Arms, representing Repatriation Commissioner Don Spinks), Rob Webster (Chairman RSL National Veterans Affairs Committee), Greg Melick (RSL National President), David Grenvold (RSL SA CEO). The business session accepted annual reports and addressed motions.

Morning tea and lunch catered by the Morphett Vale RSL Women’s Auxiliary was greatly appreciated.
