Aboriginal Veterans Commemorative Service 2022

The Aboriginal Veterans Commemorative Service at the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander War Memorial at the Torrens Parade Ground, Adelaide finished off Reconciliation Week on Friday 3/6/22. It was attended by Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten, veterans, serving ADF personnel, ex-service organisation representatives, politicians, government department representatives, school children and members of the public. The service was compered by David Rathman and Australian Army Cadets performed the drill roles. The commemoration acknowledges military service and sacrifice by generations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander servicewomen and servicemen to Australia and the world in war, campaigns, peacekeeping and humanitarian missions.
